Die Zaitokukai und der Rechtsextremismus im japanischen Internet
Right wing Extremism on the Japanese Internet and the Zaitokukai
The paper discusses the Zaitokukai – a prominent organization of the ACM (Action Conservative Movement) – in the context of xenophobic tendencies on the Internet as much as the Internet as tool for propaganda. First, the development of Internet-based hate speech/neo-nationalist sentiment or commitment in Japanese net-spheres and its structure are discussed by applying Akihiro Kitada’s (2003/2005) approach. Next, some findings on right wing tendencies on the Japanese Internet by Tsuji (2008) are summed up. Third, the focus turns to the Zaitokukai itself, especially on the mobilization of Internet users to attend demonstrations.
