Declaration on Accessibility

The Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage) endeavours to optimise its website to ensure the greatest possible accessibility. The legal basis for this is the Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV).

Recently, we had a corresponding test procedure carried out for different areas of this website. Based on the results, an updated (manual) test developed by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) will be carried out for the website of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin in the near future.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is under construction. During a preliminary BITV test of the functional parts and the design, various technical deficienci were identified that make a barrier-free navigating of the website difficult. They are listed in the protocol of the test and will be successively eliminated.
